The importance of ties

Ties have been an important part of a man’s life since civilization began. Ties represented stature and importance in the old days. A man would not have been caught dead without wearing his tie. It was a since of pride.
All men wore ties, whether it was a special event or just a regular day at work. At one point, however, men got away from wearing ties. Ties were considered too formal and stiff. Men decided they did not need ties to establish themselves as men. Men wanted to feel more comfortable in their daily lives.

Casual wear and active wear became more popular than shirts and ties. Button down shirts and slacks or jeans had become the norm. At one point, you rarely saw a man wearing a tie unless he was someone of great importance, it was for a business meeting or he was at a funeral. Even at their weddings, some men decided a tie was unnecessary.
But now ties have made a comeback. Short ties, long ties, fat ties, skinny ties, wide ties, thin ties, monotone ties, colorful ties, and even bow ties can now be seen being worn by men of all ages (according to wikipedia).
Ties are no longer just for dress-up, special occasions or even formal occasions. You can now see men wearing ties with everyday wear including jeans. Even some short outfits can rock a tie very well. Ties used to be very expensive, depending on the material and manufacturer but now ties can be very affordable. Even the high-end stores that dealt with only the finest fabrics for ties now carry more affordable products for the typical man. Men can also shop department stores and fine economical ties for any occasion. Ties have always looked especially cute on the little ones.

Women use ties to add a special touch to their pant suits or to make a statement. There is also jewelry now that looks like straight ties. Women accentuate their attire with these stone-adorned accessories to be eye-catching and to attract attention to themselves. The use and opinion of ties have made a complete circle. Ties were very prominent with men. Then they were looked at as a nuisance. Now ties of all shapes, sizes and colors are more popular than ever. Ties are worn by men of all ages, from babies to older men. And now women have gotten in on the act. Ties will always have a place in the fashion world as an iconic part of clothing.
